Yeah Yeah

I read a post today on a blog. And it had great information. Stuff I should really care about. Stuff that would help me if I would give it some attention. But it’s saturation. And I need to make a change here. With all this information coming at me, I need to decide if it’s just information or if there is value in it. And if there is value, what am I going to do with it.

So, in an effort to make myself a better person, I am going to read through my daily diet of blogs. Then, whichever blog seems to resonate with me the most, I am going to print it out, write it down, or use it to refine some part of my life. I am going to engage that one piece of information through the day.

So today’s piece, the one piece that really resonated with me, was from http://churchrelevance.com/. And I am pasting in the post that has my attention.

7 Church Leadership Mistakes to Avoid

Rick Warren of Saddleback Church (Lake Forest, CA) has made a list of seven common church leadership mistakes to avoid.

  1. You stop growing.
  2. You stop caring.
  3. You stop listening.
  4. You get distracted.
  5. You get complacent.
  6. You become arrogant.
  7. You fail to delegate.

For Rick Warren’s tips on overcoming each mistake, read the full article.

For Discussion:
Are there any leadership mistakes you would add to this list? If so, how can one keep from making those mistakes?
