George Carlin

He passed away today. His comic genius was obvious. He was extremely controversial, one of his sketches being the seven words you can’t say on television. He continually pushed the envelope.

I can’t say I was a fan of his. He openly made statements that seemed to denounce any notion that there was a God. And if there was a God, He must be incredible dumb or stupid or disinterested. I am guessing today he will have figured out those statements, whether for comedic results or not, were misplaced and unfortunate.

  2. Sean. You are right. He really did have a brilliant mind. And I think one of the things that made him famous was that he was around for a long time and he was the thinkers comedian. So yes. I agree with you. There have been a lot of entertainers who attribute Carlin as one of their inspirations.
